Telnet-Blinkenlights

Above is a printscreen of Star Wars in Telnet
I have gone and done the extra task, task B which is further exploring the Telnet facility. I have found his to be very educational of the different functions and purposes that Telnet provides. I have realised that telet can transmit information and creat animations and the like, with the use of dots and dashes. althought i like the look of updated modern animation better, due to their colour, clarity and real-life appearence, i found the star wars animation very clever.
Telnet is now-a-days not used very much for this purpose, as the public prefers the mordern forms of entertainment. it is apparently used today to search for information from govement sites and libraries, like i have just done.
On a more technical side of things, telnet had several drawback, least of all is that it is not very user friendly and the instuctions and functions are hard to follow and have to be done correctly down to the last letter and space-bar, as well it is text based so therefore limited in its compacity to achieve things.
so long,
Breindy
